Cascade Warbirds is preparing for the 2024 air show season with a training session for anyone interested in becoming a marshaller of aircraft at aviation events.
Slated for April 20, 2024, at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, the training program also includes a refresher and updates of the latest safety rules for all experienced marshallers to be qualified for events this year, according to officials with Cascade Warbirds, which is Squadron #2 of EAA Warbirds of America and a non-profit organization of aviation enthusiasts in the Puget Sound area of Washington state.
Marshallers direct the safe movement of airplanes on the ground and maintain safety for the general public during air shows, officials explained.
The training meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the museum.
Anyone with questions about the program and the training session can contact Cascade Warbirds Chief Marshaller Paul Youman at [email protected].
