B737 Type Rating Flashcards app introduced

By General Aviation News Staff · April 3, 2024 ·

Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA) has released a B737 Type Rating Flashcard app.

Using a question-and-answer format, the new app lists the questions most likely to be asked by examiners during the Airline Transport Pilot Type Rating Practical Exam and provides ready responses, according to ASA officials.

Written by Freddie Ephraim, more than 800 questions and responses ensure review of all the subjects a B737 Type Rating candidate will be tested on during checkrides, airman checks, and interviews, company officials added.

Topics include: B737 general aircraft, bleed air system, pressurization, anti-ice and rain protection, automatic flight, communication panel, electrical system, engines and APU, fire protection, flight controls, flight instruments and displays, flight management system (FMS), fuel system, hydraulic system, landing gear, warning systems, and limitations.

Answers and explanations were researched using FAA documents (which are identified so pilots know where to go for further study) as well as interviewing FAA examiners and airline check airman, ASA officials said.

The app is available for $9.99 at the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon app store, and at ASA2Fly.com.
