By General Aviation News Staff · April 15, 2024 ·

AERO Oklahoma Aviation, Aerospace and Defense Day 2024 welcomed more than 1,000 visitors, 300 students, 200 military personnel, and more than 60 exhibitors to the state capitol building April 3, 2024.

Presented annually by the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, the day included speeches, the chance to learn more about the state’s second largest industry, as well as give aerospace and defense businesses from around the state “a chance to discuss important topics with legislators and other state leaders,” said Oklahoma Senator John Haste.

“Aero Day at the Capitol is a testament to the powerhouse that this industry represents in Oklahoma,” said Executive Director Grayson Ardies of the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics. “We are on the trajectory for aerospace to be Oklahoma’s #1 industry, and when we come together for advocacy and collaboration, we solidify our commitment to achieving that goal.”
