Just published is “Rampage by Firestorm: A Season for Disaster” by veteran firefighting pilot Robert W. Sisk.
The book unveils the untold stories behind some of the most notorious wildland disasters in American history, “capturing the adrenaline, heroism, and tragedy that define the firefighting experience,” according to officials with the publisher, Sweetgrass Books.
Sisk shares firsthand accounts, giving readers a glimpse of the sacrifices made by those fighting these wildfires.
Sisk is a retired helicopter pilot with 14,000 flight hours, including combat missions in Vietnam and firefighting in the U.S.
