For JimH. Radials are very different. Your TCM break in doesn’t apply.
Probably my favorite of all the airplanes I’ve owned and flown in the past 55+ years. We moved from Ft Lauderdale, FL to Kodiak, AL in ours back in the ‘80’s. Five weeks of everything from black tie events to under wing camping. Great airplane… with roll up, glass pilots window. (today considered the cc window..). 5,000 mi behind that Shaky Jake. 😎.
where is Kodiak, Alabama?
Wow, lots of oil smoke.!! Is that normal for an overhauled radial ?
TCM recommended minimizing ground runs and to fly it at 75% power, but within cylinder temps, to break in new cylinders.
