Pictures of the day: Evening flight

By General Aviation News Staff · May 21, 2024 ·

Longtime contributor Tom Snow sent this photo of the sunset view on the evening of Feb. 7, 2024, as he and his son, Sam, returned to land at Lovell Field Airport (KCHA) Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the conclusion of their first flight in their new Van’s RV-12iST trainer.

“After a month-long wait for suitable weather and a three-day ferry flight from the Van’s factory in Aurora, Oregon, that took 29 flight hours, the plane was recently delivered to KCHA by CFI Armando Colon,” Tom reports. “The factory-built and certified RV-12iST Light Sport Advanced Trainer is specifically designed for flight schools and the Garmin glass panel is equipped with dual G3X screens and a GTN650 IFR navigator.”
