HAMILTON, Texas — Hamilton Soaring Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a passion for aviation among young people, is holding a special charity auction featuring a refurbished 1959 Cessna 150.
The auction is hosted by AirSpace Auctions, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to support the Hamilton Soaring Club’s mission of giving kids their wings — more specifically to buy a new (to them) Cessna 182 for towing operations, club officials explain.
Starting at just 14 years old, aspiring pilots can embark on their aviation journey through soaring, making it an ideal introduction to flight, club officials said.
“Hamilton Soaring Club ensures this opportunity is accessible to most families through affordable rates, scholarships, and work opportunities,” officials add.
