Mark Anton Airport (2A0) in Dayton, Tennessee, will host its first-ever Wings on Display Airport Day.
The event, which is free to the community and pilots flying in, is slated for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 7, 2024.

The event includes a static display of a variety of aircraft, from the DC-3 “Flagship Detroit,” to a World War II-era PBY Catalina and “everything in between,” according to Bryan Janisch, Airport Manager and Event Coordinator.

Also on hand will be Cirrus Aircraft, showcasing its line-up of general aviation aircraft, as well as the Tennessee Army National Guard, which will not only display its military aircraft and other vehicles, but also perform some demonstrations.
The Airport Day also includes a vendor area featuring local arts and crafts with aviation themes, a kid’s zone, food trucks, and live music from a number of local artists, including Wade Sims, Mt. LeConte Jug Band, and One for the Road.
Airport officials hope the event “ignites the passion for aviation in the next generation and inspires the youth of today to become the pilots of tomorrow,” Janisch said.
The airport also will provide free camping for pilots who fly in.
