In a recent episode of the Pilot Minute, a video series from the FAA, Federal Air Surgeon Susan Northrup, MD, explains a new option allowing AMEs to issue a medical certificate for pilots who have been on ADHD medications.
One path is for pilots who haven’t taken the medication for more than four years. You can earn the medical, but there are some hoops you’ll have to jump through.
Still on the medication or were in the last four years? It’s still possible, but you’ll have to undergo testing.
