The Ranger Airfield Foundation 2024 raffle prize.

The Ranger Airfield Foundation will raffle off a 1946 Piper J-3 Cub at its Old School Fly-In & Airshow Oct. 4-6, 2024.

The Cub, restored in 2008, includes metal spars, sealed struts, a Continental A65 engine with less than 300 hours since major overhaul, Slick mags, disc brakes, and a Brackett air filter. It also has a current inspection and is actively being flown, according to foundation officials.

As of July 15, 72% of the 2,500 tickets have already been sold.

Tickets are $50 for one, $125 for three. Click here to buy a ticket.

Ranger Municipal Airport (F23) in Texas dates to 1911. It is owned by the city of Ranger but is mowed, maintained, promoted, preserved, and directed by volunteers and donations to the Ranger Airfield Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit organization with no paid employees.
