Aspen Avionics is partnering with Electronics International to develop engine monitoring on Aspen’s Evolution multi-function displays.
The new engine monitoring features, currently in development, are “designed to provide precise engine data in an intuitive format to enhance pilot safety and aircraft performance with intuitive engine instrumentation,” on Aspen’s Evolution MFD500 MAX and MFD1000 MAX multi-function displays, according to Aspen Avionics officials.

“We expect that once the software approval is obtained, owners may pair our displays with the EDC-33P engine data converter and sensors from Electronics International and remove old primary engine instruments such as RPM, manifold, EGT/CHT, fuel level, oil temperature and pressure, volt/amp, fuel low, fuel press and TIT gauges, further improving reliability with EFIS-based critical engine information,” said Mark Ferrari, Aspen’s vice president of sales and customer support.

Engine instrumentation is expected to be available mid-2025.
