LAKELAND, Florida — The Aerospace Center for Excellence (ACE) on the SUN ‘n FUN campus at Lakeland Linder International Airport (KLAL) has launched a new preschool program called STEM Sprouts.
The parent participation class is designed for children aged 3-5. Each week students and parents will explore a letter of the alphabet and coordinating aviation concept using hands-on, skill-based learning centered around play, ACE officials said.
Classes, which kick off Sept. 9, 2024, will be held Monday mornings from 9 to 10:15 a.m. through May 12. Each week will be limited to 15 students using an online registration system.
There is a class fee of $10 per student, with a 50% discount given to Florida Air Museum members. Admission to the Florida Air Museum and Destination: Aviation Playground are included in the class fee. Full year pricing is available as well, ACE officials noted.
