ForeFlight’s latest release adds keyboard, new categories for turbulence

Just released is ForeFlight 16.7, which includes a new aviation keyboard, new categories for reported turbulence, and more.

The new keyboard is designed to streamline entering information and note taking, according to ForeFlight officials.

New Categories for Reported Turbulence

Intermediate turbulence categories have been added to better convey when most of a report period has lower turbulence severity with moments of more severe turbulence, ForeFlight officials explained.

Enhanced Traffic Icons

A new toggle in Map Settings uses emitter categories to more accurately depict aircraft types on the map using ADS-B traffic in ForeFlight.
