Sheltair, a provider of aviation real estate development and FBO services across the United States, recently celebrated the opening of its expanded hangar facilities at Kissimmee Gateway Airport (KISM) in Florida.
Since 2001, Sheltair has built 86 individual T and box hangars encompassing approximately 115,973 square feet. Responding to the growing need for additional smaller general aviation aircraft storage at KISM, the new expansion adds 19 new hangars, bringing the total number of hangars to 105, according to company officials.
The multi-million-dollar project, covering 2.7 acres, includes three additional hangars made up of nine oversized T-hangars providing a total of 17,622 square feet of space, as well as 10 box hangars measuring 50 feet x 50 feet, with a combined square footage of 25,000.
