Foundation creates pilot’s guide to O61

By General Aviation News Staff · September 14, 2024 · Leave a Comment

Cameron Park Airport (O61), a small general aviation airport in northern California, has a “unique airspace.”

It also has the support of the Cameron Park Airport Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the airport. That’s why the foundation released a video to help pilots safely fly into O61.

“Flying into a new airport is never easy and Cameron Park Airport has some tricky terrain issues to contend with,” foundation officials said, noting the airport also has some ground operations rules — “all which can be confusing to pilots unfamiliar with the environment.”

The new video “will provide you the information you need to make your first visit as successful as possible. If you have flown into O61 before, you might even learn a few things watching this video as well,” foundation officials said.
