Schrager Hampson Aviation Insurance Agency has acquired Northeast Aviation & Marine Insurance Brokers, its fifth aviation insurance acquisition.
Northeast Aviation & Marine was founded in 2001 by the late Jeffrey Mallia, a Naval fighter pilot and AirVenture Cup-winning builder of a Cozy Mark III. Jeffrey combined his passion for aviation with his family’s insurance legacy, initially established by his father with the founding of Sykes-Mallia Associates in 1956, according to company officials.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Jack Mallia joined the family business 15 years ago and has now transitioned to the Schrager Hampson team.
Jack brings with him a wealth of experience in aviation insurance, covering everything from renter’s policies and Cessna 150s to owner-flown jets, warbirds, charter operators, flight schools, FBOs, aircraft management, quota share programs, and even weather balloons, according to company officials.
