MT-Propeller expands footprint at Straubing Airport

By General Aviation News Staff · October 8, 2024 · Leave a Comment

The center three buildings represent the latest expansion of MT-Propeller at Germany’s Straubing Airport.

MT-Propeller has opened three new buildings at its headquarters at Germany’s Straubing Airport. The trio of buildings add 86,000 square feet of space, more than doubling total space to 161,000 square feet at the airport.

The expansion will allow MT-Propeller to increase production and service capacities, as well as direct installation on customer aircraft, sales, spare parts, and shipping, according to company officials. All metal parts for MT-Propellers can now also be manufactured at the headquarters.

In total, MT-Propeller now operates six buildings at Struabing Airport, plus a 54,000-square-foot composite blade production facility a few miles from the airport.

MT-Propeller has over 220 propeller STCs for aircraft models ranging from motor gliders to regional airliners. The product range extends from two to seven blade propellers for aircraft up to 5000 hp to airships, hovercraft, and wind tunnels.
