Flightstar president honored with Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award

Flightstar President William Giannetti has been awarded the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award.

The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award is the highest honor the FAA gives to pilots who have demonstrated professionalism, skill, and aviation expertise by maintaining safe operations for 50 or more years.

During Giannetti’s career in aviation, which began in 1974, he has accumulated over 20,000 total flight hours, completed several hundred North Atlantic crossings, and is type-rated in 12 different aircraft.

In 1978, he co-founded Flightstar, where he continues to serve as president and actively fly as a captain.
