Jet Aviation has broken ground on its new FBO and hangar facility at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (KOPF) in Florida.

The 27-acre facility on the west side of the airfield will feature a newly-constructed 8,500-square-foot FBO, a ramp totaling 540,000 square feet, and a 4,800-square-foot space for dedicated on-site US Customs and Border Protection.

In addition, two 20,000-square-foot, private use hangars, each with hangar office support, will be built.

The facility will also offer sustainable aviation fuel via Jet Aviation’s global Book & Claim program, with the intention to move to a physical supply once the site is operational, company officials said.

“Adding Miami to our network is key to further strengthening our footprint in the US,” says David Best, senior vice president regional operations Americas. “We are committed to growing in locations where our customers want us to be.”

Construction is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2025.
