ORLANDO, Florida — Sheltair has begun construction on two new hangars at Orlando Executive Airport (KORL).

Over the past 21 years, Sheltair has added five hangars and a terminal at the airport, amounting to more than 182,000 square feet of improvements since 2003.

With this new $16 million project, Sheltair is adding another 62,000 square feet of hangar and office space at the airport, increasing Sheltair’s inventory of hangar and office space at KORL to nearly 430,000 square feet.

Hangar 18, with its 32,956 square feet, is designed to serve as a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, while Hangar 19, spanning 32,504 square feet, will primarily function as a storage hangar for aircraft owners, according to company officials.

The family-owned company anticipates that construction of these two hangars will be finished by the end of 2025.
