STEM Flights and EAA join forces

By General Aviation News Staff · December 18, 2024 · Leave a Comment

Retired Brigadier General Dave Brubaker, who founded STEM Flights, does a preflight with a student.

STEM Flights and the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AeroEducate program have joined forces to reach more middle- and high-school students.

Under the new agreement, STEM Flights students will have the opportunity to enroll in AeroEducate programs, and qualifying AeroEducate students will have the opportunity to take a flight with STEM Flights.

“Our relationship with AeroEducate will give our students the ability to enroll in a robust virtual program in which they can continue their aviation journey and discover new career pathways,” said Dave Brubaker, founder and chairman of STEM Flights. “AeroEducate is a significant addition to our current STEM Flight Following program, giving students who fly with us access to greatly expanded resources and programming that only AeroEducate provides.”

EAA’s AeroEducate program, formally launched at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022, provides age-appropriate pathways to aviation and aerospace engagement, and even career paths, according to STEM Flights officials.

STEM Flights is a national non-profit providing free flight experiences for middle and high school students.

Both STEM Flights and AeroEducate offer teachers and other educators the opportunity to download aerospace-related curriculum for use in their classrooms. These courses are available now and are being used by thousands of students in classrooms across America.
