Airport Partner Program expands to Michigan

By General Aviation News Staff · January 16, 2025 · Leave a Comment

The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) has partnered with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) to enroll 203 airports in NASAO’s Airport Partner program.

Since 2023, NASAO has offered its Airport Partner Program, designed to help airports “looking to enhance engagement with state government aviation agencies, stay apprised of the most current aviation issues, and access exclusive NASAO member resources.”

“MDOT is proud to partner with NASAO in offering Michigan airports access to critical training and resources, at no cost,” said Bryan Budds, MDOT Office of Aeronautics director.

Michigan is home to 215 licensed public use airports, 13,000 registered pilots, and 5,200 aircraft, according to NASAO officials. Michigan’s aviation industry generates approximately $22 billion in yearly economic impact.

You can see the full list of Michigan airports participating in the program at NASAO.org.
