Picture of the Day: Taxi into position and hold

By General Aviation News Staff · January 20, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Dennis Kirkwood submitted this photo and note: “Late afternoon flight in my Hummel Ultracruiser as I taxied for takeoff. Photo taken by Bob Komjathy with a high powered zoom lens at Brighton Airport (45G) in Brighton, Michigan. Bob took this photo unbeknownst to me, as I was doing some practice landings one cool afternoon. He simply sent it to me in an email several weeks later with no caption, just the photo. I remembered him taking photos that day of landing aircraft, however I felt that I was nowhere close enough for a shot of my activities. I was blown away by the sharp resolution and composition of the shot from such a great distance. Thanks Bob for the great photo.”
