Free Plotting Your Course brochure updated

By General Aviation News Staff · January 22, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA) has updated its free Plotting Your Course fold-out brochure.

Designed to mimic a true aeronautical chart, the brochure includes information on how to earn a pilot certificate, ASA officials noted, adding it is also designed to pique the interest of aspiring aviators in a fun way.

“While this ‘chart’ should not be used for navigation, it should be used to inspire and to inform future pilots that their dreams are within reach,” company officials said.

Designed for storefront countertops, trade shows, events, learn to fly kits, STEM programs, or anywhere future pilots might be, the brochure contains general information about the first steps to pilot certification, eligibility requirements, how to find and choose the right flight school, how long it takes to get a certificate, how much it costs, and how to get started.

Additionally, readers will be introduced to basic ground school topics, including airplane terminology, chart reading, aircraft systems, fundamentals of flight, airspace and weather, aerodynamics, and runway markings and traffic patterns, officials said.
