New WAI chapter opens at KRDU

By General Aviation News Staff · January 29, 2025 · 4 Comments

The newest chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) is taking off at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (KRDU) in North Carolina.

The force behind the chapter is Adrienne Crawford, who notes the new chapter is seeking members, including those willing to serve on the chapter’s board.

She added the chapter has already lined up sponsors, including all the major airlines, as well as Michael Landguth, KRDU’s President and CEO.

For more information, contact Crawford at [email protected] or 205-427-3100.

Isn’t this what the 99s already do in their excellent Kitty Hawk Chapter? Does the RDU CEO also support a chapter of MAI, Men in Aviation International? Do we really need more hyphenated-pilots?

This comment and attitude is exactly why women need their own organization. To vent and talk about having to deal with idiots like you.

The 99s is only for pilots. WAI is for all aviation careers. And guess what? You don’t have to be a woman to join WAI! Maybe you ought to try it.
