True Blue Power unveils high voltage converter

By General Aviation News Staff · February 28, 2025 · Leave a Comment

True Blue Power has introduced its new high voltage TC6500 DC-to-DC Converter, which converts 270 VDC to 28 VDC to power avionics and other systems onboard business, commercial, defense, and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft.

Weighing 10.4 pounds, the converter can be installed for increased power output and redundancy without the need for additional wiring, according to company officials.

The True Blue Power DC-to-DC converter has 96% peak efficiency and features overload capacity up to 110% of the rated power without damage, officials added.

It’s equipped with three brushless, temperature-controlled and speed-controlled fans, along with thermostatic On/Off control. The design cools the unit, delivers maximum power output, and extends useful life, company officials explained.

The TC6500 offers input transient protection, low voltage shutdown, short circuit, and over current protection.
