The Redbird FMX flight simulator.

Redbird Flight has appointed Charlie Gregoire chief executive officer.

Gregoire, previously chief operating officer, succeeds Todd Willinger, who becomes executive chairman after serving as the company’s CEO since its inception.

Willinger will remain in an advisory role for an interim period to facilitate a smooth transition, according to company officials.

Willinger succeeds Redbird Founder Jerry Gregoire, who will step down from the board of directors and his role as chairman after serving in the position since the company’s inception.

Josh Harnagel, previously the company’s vice president of customer experience, will step into the role of COO.

Based in Austin, Texas, Redbird was founded in 2006. More than 4,000 of the company’s flight simulation devices are in service worldwide, according to company officials.
