Upon takeoff roll, noticed airspeed indicator not showing airspeed.

My student said they were close enough to see the people in the other cockpit.

I didn’t want to be “the guy who screwed up the OSH departure and snarled traffic for everyone.”

I did not spot the aircraft until it was roughly 100 feet away, at which point I took evasive action and dove my aircraft.

All of a sudden I caught a glimpse of the Skyhawk banking away from me. I never saw him until he was off my left wing at the same altitude.

When I got home that night, I looked up what a “low approach” meant and I was shocked, scared, and embarrassed.

A few minutes later we hit severe wake turbulence, causing the airplane to violently roll to the left while losing altitude. I reacted quickly and kept the airplane level and under control.

When I looked back up, a plane was crossing ahead of me, right to left, same altitude, climbing, approximately 300 feet away. Seems that as I was descending on about a 060 heading, it was climbing and turning left slowly, causing it to be out of my sight until it got close to my altitude (visibility down and right is rather bad in a Cessna 182 since the door obscures the view).

An airworthiness directive for inspections of other C182 airplanes should be considered, checking for friction marks or other evidence of damage to the associated plates and components.
