Oklahoma university launches aviateOK app

The app was designed to educate K-12 students about the aviation industry and encourage students who are interested in aerospace to learn more, according to university officials.

Association now accepting applications for scholarship

NASAO will award up to three $1,000 scholarships to college students for tuition, fees, books and supplies. Candidates must be college-level incoming juniors or seniors who are continuing their education in the aviation/aerospace industry and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Defect in pitot static system alarms pilot

At about 1,200-1,300 feet, I noticed the elevator controls were resisting my inputs to climb and saw the airspeed reading 23 knots. I knew this was wrong because the plane was flying normally.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel approved for Piper turboprops

Piper Aircraft reports that all PA-46 based, single-engine turbine-powered aircraft, including the M600/SLS, M500, and Meridian, can now use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Using SAF in a Piper turboprop will not require a change in aircraft placarding or Pilot’s Operating Handbooks.
