Unleaded avgas on track to be at California airports by summer 2023
Reid-Hillview Airport of Santa Clara County (KRHV), Watsonville Municipal Airport (KWVI), and Meadows Field Airport (KBFL) in Bakersfield will be the first airports in the country to offer GAMI’s lead-free 100 octane FAA-approved avgas known as G100UL.

The expanded eighth edition includes “Fundamentals of Instructing” questions covering the subjects from the FAA’s Aviation Instructor’s Handbook (FAA-H-8083-9). Its content accounts for the latest FAA test standards, including new risk management considerations and chapters covering all Areas of Operation and Tasks.
Improperly installed throttle cable leads to forced landing
Inadequate maintenance at the time the carburetor was replaced, which resulted in the improperly installed throttle cable and a partial loss of engine power. Contributing to the accident was an inadequate annual inspection that failed to detect the improper throttle cable installation.
