Good Press: Hickory homebuilder makes local paper
Eighty-eight year old Paul Wise made the Hickory (N.C.) Daily Record for building an RV-12 in his garage. The story is fairly accurate, which is good for local media. There is also a comment from a local noting that his 15-year-old son just returned from AirVenture and might be interested in helping Mr. Wise.
Oil loss brings plane down
The oil starvation and failure of the number one piston connecting rod and bearing that was due to the fragmentation of the number two main bearing, which then obstructed the engine oil pickup tube and restricted the flow of oil through the engine.
