OSHKOSH – Jeppesen has released a mobile app to offer Garmin G1000 avionics system training program on iPad.
OSHKOSH – Jeppesen has introduced Mobile FliteDeck VFR, a new iPad-based navigation and planning solution designed specifically for private pilots in the continental U.S. operating under visual flight rules (VFR) conditions.
Jeppesen now offers route planning capabilities that can be transferred between mobile devices and installed avionics to improve data access for general aviation pilots.
Jeppesen now offers its complete suite of pilot training textbooks as e-book selections for iPad. Available for download through the Apple iBookstore, Jeppesen’s e-book titles include Instrument/Commercial pilot training, Multi-Engine airplane training, and Flight Instructor training from Jeppesen’s Guided Flight Discovery series, and Federal Aviation Regulations/Aeronautical Information Manual (FAR/AIM) and FAR/M regulation reference guides.
Jeppesen and Garmin now offer Jeppesen’s NavData navigation information and charting services in several bundle service options for G1000 avionics systems.
Jeppesen now offers digital eBooks textbooks and materials to supplement its training solutions for student pilots, flight schools, universities and current pilots. Available for download through the Apple iBookstore, Jeppesen’s Private Pilot Guided Flight Discovery manual and the A&P Technician General, Airframe and Powerplant textbooks and reference books are now offered on iPad.
OSHKOSH — Today at AirVenture, Jeppesen introduced new digital JeppView navigation data subscription pricing structure based on the number of devices powered by Jeppesen data. Available for popular mobile device delivery through Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck or personal computer access, the new pricing model will allow customers to choose between two or four “installs” or device access points for Jeppesen data that come with a digital JeppView subscription, company officials said.
WhiteConcierge, a global B2B concierge and lifestyle management company, has been chosen as the provider for Jeppesen Concierge — a new offering that gives pilots and their passengers access to the highest levels of concierge service for everything from personal emergencies to reservations to a virtual private assistant. Jeppesen Concierge will be offered as part of the Jeppesen International Trip Planning Service and is available to all Jeppesen customers.
Avidyne Corp. and Jeppesen have teamed to make Avidyne’s CMax Electronic Approach Chart software, including Jeppesen’s worldwide coverage of airport diagrams, standard on all new EX500 and EX5000 Multi-Function Displays (MFDs).
Avidyne also will enable current EX500 and EX5000 (pictured) MFD customers to upgrade for a fraction of the previous cost for the CMax option, company officials said.
