ANSWER: Wayne, I suggest you focus your attention on Lycoming Service Instruction 1011H. It will give you the general inspection requirements and checks for the hydraulic plunger assemblies. This information is also set forth in the Direct Drive Engine Overhaul Manual 60294-7 on pages 6-12 and 6-13. If you do not happen to have a copy of either one of these publications, I’d suggest you contact your nearest FAA Approved Repair Station and ask if they can provide you with a copy.
