AvFab gets EASA nod for King Air jump seats

By Janice Wood · April 4, 2010 ·

Aviation Fabricators (AvFab) recently received EASA approval for all 100, 200, and 300 (including the 350) series King Air aft jump seat kits. AvFab also has a U.S. STC and Brazil STC for these seats, according to company officials.

The jump seat folds down from the side wall of the aircraft in the aft baggage compartment. The seats are interchangeable with the OEM jump seat and can use the existing OEM installation hardware if the aircraft is so equipped. If the aircraft has not been previously equipped with an installation kit, the AvFab kit can be used to make the installation. The kit includes all installation hardware, brackets, parts, the seat (un-upholstered), restraint system, life vest, overhead lights, vents, oxygen drop-downs, and installation instructions.

AvFab also provides inspection, repair and overhaul of corporate aircraft interior parts and components, and is an FAA-PMA manufacturer of custom aircraft seating. AvFab’s sister company, Central Airmotive, is a supplier of Original Equipment Manufacture interior products such as seats, divans, tables, toilets, cabinets and dividers. For more information: AvFab.com or 660-885-8317.
