Star search for ‘Women With Wings’ at Sun ‘n Fun

By Janice Wood · April 8, 2010 ·

Wheels Up Productions producer/director Daphne Stacey and her production team will be at the Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In next week interviewing, videotaping and meeting with pilots, sponsors and exhibitors for “Women With Wings,” a four-part television mini-series.

“Women With Wings” will cover the first woman to solo in a balloon to today’s women of space, chronicling their achievements. A future pilot’s journey to get her license — the highs and lows in training for, testing and ultimately obtaining her first pilot’s license — will be documented throughout the series, inspiring other women and future generations to join the proud legacy of “Women With Wings,” producers said.

Each episode will focus on groups such as the Ninety-Nines and the WASPs.

“We welcome everyone’s input in this exciting project,” said Bob Nuchow, spokesman.

Contact Nuchow at 310-562-4578, [email protected] and/or production coordinator Gregory Stacey at 352-213-2209, [email protected] with any inquiries, to schedule interviews or meetings.
