U.S.-Canada border issues webinar slated

By Janice Wood · May 6, 2010 ·

There are unique cross-border issues that U.S. operators face when flying to and within Canada and others that Canadian operators face when coming into and flying throughout the U.S. The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) have joined forces for a webinar on May 20 that will address some common challenges that operators face when crossing the border and operating in the other country’s airspace.

Topics that will be addressed include: U.S. Customs & Border Protection compliance issues – leaving the U.S. and returning, including eAPIS; TSA waivers; CANPASS requirements and procedures; and Cabotage considerations and economic authority for foreign operators. Presenters include: Sam Barone, President & CEO, Canadian Business Aviation Association; Laura Everington, Manager, Regulatory Services, Universal Weather & Aviation; and Simon Roussel, Director, Operations Control Center and Support, Skyservice Business Aviation.

Registration fee is $99 for NBAA or CBAA Members. This fee is for each computer that will access the webinar; consider including your associates and participating via speakerphone and a shared computer, organizers recommend.
