Franklins injured in air show

By Janice Wood · March 16, 2011 ·

Kyle and Amanda Franklin were hospitalized after they were forced to make an emergency landing during Air Fiesta 2011 taking place at the Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport Saturday afternoon. According to The Brownsville Herald, the Franklins were at a key point of their wing-walking act when their plane suffered engine failure. The ICAS Foundation has created a “Kyle and Amanda Fund.” Every penny donated to this fund will go directly to the couple, foundation officials promise.
