Duncan Aviation opens two satellite avionics shops

By Janice Wood · April 17, 2011 ·

Duncan Aviation has partnered with Signature Flight Support Corporation’s Signature TECHNICAir in the opening of two new satellite avionics shops in Missouri: one in Kansas City and the other in St. Louis.

The Kansas City avionics shop is located at Kansas City’s Downtown Airport (MKC) and the St. Louis avionics shop is located at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport (SUS). Both shops are staffed with fully certified technicians and have full avionics line services and avionics installation capabilities, according to company officials.

The structure for the new Duncan Aviation avionics shops is similar to the arrangement Duncan Aviation has had since 2007 with Signature Flight Support at its FBO in St. Paul, Minn. Signature TECHNICAir provides full maintenance services at the facility while Duncan Aviation provides avionics services.

Hoping to build on the successful relationship the two companies have in St. Paul, Signature’s TECHNICAir  approached Duncan Aviation about supporting customers in the Kansas City and St. Louis avionics shops, according to company officials.
