Air Zoo to offer summer camp scholarships

By Janice Wood · April 28, 2011 ·

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Full and partial scholarships from the Air Zoo Legacy Foundation are now available for the Air Zoo’s summer camps.

To apply for one, kids must write a one-page essay about themselves, explaining why they want to attend camp and how they became interested in science, flight, and space. Applicants must include the name of the camp they want to attend, along with the amount of scholarship they are requesting — full or partial. Essays must be received by June 1 and should be sent to: Air Zoo, ATTN: Debra Mixis, 6151 Portage Rd., Portage, MI 49002.

For a complete listing of Air Zoo summer camps, go to www.airzoo.org. To register for a camp, call 269-382-6555.
