Bogert cable kits for more aircraft

By Janice Wood · May 17, 2011 ·

A new FAA/PMA adds more aircraft models to Bogert Aviation’s line of Low-Loss Copper Cable Kits, which improve hot and cold starting performance and eliminate most voltage drop between battery and starter, according to company officials.

Since 1986 Bogert Aviation has manufactured FAA/PMA solutions for aircraft electrical and start-up problems.

Low-Loss Copper Cable Kits solve problems caused by aging equipment, aluminum wiring, corrosion and power hungry, light-weight starters, officials said, explaining, “This is great news for aircraft owners, pilots and FBOs looking to significantly improve battery and starter system performance.”

Kits are made in the USA with large gauge, custom cut cable and hand assembled. Parts come ready to install complete with instructions, sample entries and schematic part’s listing.

“There are older planes out there that could be flying if replacement parts were available. They’re grounded because of a single part. We’re doing what we do best to give these pilots a chance to do what they do best,” says Richard Bogert, president. Bogert Aviation is awaiting FAA approval on several other STC applications on products for Cessna and Piper models.
