By Janice Wood · June 1, 2011 ·

The Museum of Flight in Seattle will be filled with family activities in celebration of Father’s Day, June 19. Admission is free for all fathers with a coupon available at Dunn Lumber retail outlets, or online.

The day’s events are sponsored by Dunn Lumber and the Master Builders Association. Coupons will be available in at Dunn Lumber in early June.

Activities include tours of the museum’s Navy Grumman A-6 Intruder Jet Fighter at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., balsa wood glider crafting and flying, and unlimited Lego building with Trainbuilder Productions “Family Lego Experience” with “Lego Man” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

New exhibits on view at the museum since last year’s Father’s Day include a 1950s Lockheed Super Constellation airliner, the world’s highest-flying glider (almost 10 miles high) and a new collection of 153 intricately-crafted World War I model aircraft rendered at 1/48 scale…including a 13-foot Zeppelin.
