Diamond Aircraft is recalling workers and rapidly accelerating its D-JET personal jet program thanks to an investment from an unnamed source, according to a report at AVweb. The money will also enable resumption of the flight test program and the construction of one more test aircraft as the company works toward certification, the report notes, adding Diamond was recently turned down by the Canadian government for a $35 million loan that would have formed a share of the $90 million needed to finish the project.

This is good news! I question why our government (Canadian) didn’t participate in the funding help, as it has poured millions into Bombadier, Chrysler and GM, et al.
Actual commercial aircraft are made in Canada, and only one more test aircraft was needed to get on the path of cerification of this unique business jet!
I hope gathering up the experienced help that was being enticed by other aircraft makers can be found and the new D-Jet will be successful, and ponder (worry) over the mystery financial help, as it could be that other foreign country that is buying up aircraft companies!
