Quality Aircraft Accessories to distribute Jasco alternators, regulators

By Janice Wood · February 2, 2012 ·

Skytronics, Inc., a component manufacturer and FAA Repair Station, has selected Quality Aircraft Accessories, a distributor of new and overhauled engine accessories for general aviation, as the exclusive distributor of Jasco overhauled alternators and regulators.

As part of this agreement, Quality Aircraft Accessories has purchased the associated inventory of overhauled components and will combine it with its existing inventory at its distribution facility in Tulsa, Okla. In addition to making the complete line of overhauled and new Jasco products available on an immediate basis, Quality Aircraft Accessories will be providing technical support for the entire Jasco product line.

“Quality Aircraft Accessories has been distributing Jasco products for many years,” said Brad Duschak, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Skytronics. “When Skytronics began looking for a distributor that had the product knowledge and experience to manage the consolidated distribution and technical support for the product line, Quality Aircraft Accessories was the logical choice.”

The Jasco Alternator System, which is manufactured by Skytronics in 12-volt and 24-volt systems, is approaching its fifth decade of service on both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. It has built a reputation as an efficient charging system for both factory new installations and as a replacement and/or upgrade unit for bulky generators and/or inefficient alternators, company officials said. Available in 50 or 70 amps, Jasco Alternators, Conversion Kits and Regulators are FAA/PMA-approved for Lycoming and Continental fixed-wing and radial applications.

“By combining inventories, this collaboration will provide Jasco customers improved availability of overhauled alternators and regulators,” said Brett Benton, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Quality Aircraft Accessories. “With distribution and technical support moving to Tulsa and Central Standard Time (CST), overall customer support will improve as well.”

Besides Jasco Alternators and Regulators, Skytronics provides Aero-Lite Ignition Harnesses and Skyflex Conduit for general aviation aircraft, with repair/overhaul capabilities.
