Cessna hits tree

Aircraft: Cessna 172. Injuries: 1 Serious. Location: Smoketown, Pa. Aircraft damage: Substantial.

What reportedly happened: According to the pilot he was attempting to land and did not notice he was too low until the left wing hit a tree.

The airplane veered left and hit the ground.

Probable cause: The pilot did not maintain a proper approach path, which resulted in a collision with a tree.

    A classic case of not paying attention to what you are doing while driving or flying at high speed in close proximity to fixed and moving objects. this pilot? would never make it as a crop duster or a race driver. scan scan scan be aware of every thing any where close to you or your intended path. Car, Boat, or Airplane.
