A new terminal was recently dedicated at the Twin County Airport (KHLX) serving Carroll and Grayson Counties, as well as Galax, Va.
The 4,000-square-foot terminal not only houses the manager and commission’s offices, but includes a pilot lounge/sleep room with a full bath, a flight planning room, a large conference room, and space for additional airport businesses.
“This new ‘portal to the community’ will be a great indication to all visiting pilots, businessmen and passengers that the local community is vibrant and open for business,” airport officials said.
Twin County Airport is already the home of Twin County Aviation, a full service FBO and fixed-wing flight school, and Bill’s Helicopter Service offering FBO services for rotary wing aircraft.
