Wings of Women slates Oct. 11 event

By General Aviation News Staff · June 16, 2014 ·

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM) will host the Cleveland chapter of WOW — Wings of Women — Saturday, Oct. 11, at Burke Lakefront Airport (KBKL).

This event is geared toward young women in middle school and high school who are interested in pursuing STEM related careers.

IWASM will bring in numerous professional women mentors in STEM fields that will talk to the girls in groups and one-on-one. This will give these young women insight in how to reach their future dreams and goal, according to organizers.  They will also experience hands-on activities, a museum tour, and how real aviation technology operates.

Links to apply for mentors and students are available here
