Mooney opens new office in China

Mooney will open an office in Beijing, China, later this summer.

“After years of strict military control, the country is getting serious about permitting private flights within its borders,” said Dr. Jerry Chen, CEO of Mooney International Corporation. “We want to be a big part of this exciting growth opportunity.,”

Peter Claeys has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing and will head the office in Bejing.

Claeys joins the Mooney executive team most recently from Honeywell Aerospace in Shanghai where, as a senior market analyst, he specialized in aviation market forecasting. Prior to this, he was the customer support director for Commercial Aircraft of China (COMAC). Here, he oversaw customer research, branding, exhibition promotion and customer relationship management strategy.

Claeys’ background also includes posts with Executive Aviation Taiwan Corporation and the Aviation Education Foundation of Taiwan. Along with Chinese, he is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
