Zach Sweetser gets to fly quite a bit. He shoots lots of videos and stills. His videos can be seen on YouTube at RedDevilSquadron. Prepare to be a tad bit jealous of the year Zach had in 2014 in this “super-cut” video.
I couldn’t help but ask a few questions after seeing this video:
GAN: Where was most of the video shot?
Zach: About 95% of this video was filmed in Washington State.
GAN: How many different types of aircraft did you fly in? How many flights?
Zach: I flew in about 15 different airplanes, maybe more. Around 100 or more flights, and too many R/C flights to count.
GAN: You must’ve shot a lot of video and still. Any idea how much?
Zach: Photos are in the thousands, I don’t have an exact amount. I actually don’t know how much video, but it was a lot. In the hundreds of hours for sure.
GAN: Anything else you’d like to share with anyone who happens to read this?
Zach: I am definitely living the dream. Oh, and because I know someone will ask, the cloud flying in the Long EZ was 100% legal. We were on an IFR flight plan with a block altitude assignment. And it was a blast.
Great vid Zach. Loved it. What’s the name of the song; who plays it?
Thank you.
Paul
Very cool and inspiring, Zach! Thanks for sharing with all of us. Watched it twice, love the music, too…great choice! Nice job!!
Great images!
Sure didn’t like seeing the model airplane clip the glider’s towrope… hope everything worked out ok.
Fantastic
Fun video!
Wow. Is that a Rutan Long EZ that flashes by in the video? I’ve always wanted to see one of those in person. And if I ever got to go up in one…
