The changing colors of the leaves not only announce the fall season to those that fly in the north, but also Louie Bakrevski’s annual chili party and Tiddler Ride held at Porter County Airport (VPZ) in Valparaiso, Indiana, explains reader Al Dyer.
“Dozens of antique and classic small bikes take to the back roads on a long bike ride slow enough to enjoy the changing scenery,” he continues. “For those who live too far to participate in the ride, viewing the changing colors from above works well too! Fly in or ride in, there is a hangar full of food and an afternoon of friends to enjoy the day with.”
Alan Abel’s 1939 Luscombe serves as the background for brothers Dave and Karl Henning, who rode their 1949 Harley and 1954 BSA in this year’s Tiddler Ride.
