The NBC Sports Network will air a one-hour show Sunday, March 27, featuring the National Championship Air Races.
The program begins at noon Pacific Standard Time.
“The fact that the National Championship Air Races, the fastest motor sport in the world, will be the feature of a one-hour show to air on the NBC Sports network is an incredible opportunity for the Air Races to be exposed to a national television audience,” said Mike Crowell, chief executive officer of the Reno Air Racing Association (RARA). “It also provides positive, national exposure for Reno and the northern Nevada community.”
A trailer for the show can be viewed by going to: AirRace.org.
The one-hour special is produced by JM Associates, an Emmy Award-winning production company. Footage was shot at the 2015 National Championship Air Races.
“We’ve been producing niche sports programs for over 40 years and when we were invited to see what the National Championship Air Races were all about, it took one quick look to know that this would be a hit with a national audience,” said Mike McKinnis, vice president and executive producer for JM Associates. “Directing our cameras toward extremely compelling characters and fast, high-tech flying machines is a recipe for success.”
The 53rd National Championship Air Races will be held Sept. 14-18, 2016.
Can I see this online? I cannot get NBC Sports in my area?
